A crown is essentially a protective cover for a broken tooth. It reshapes and improves the appearance of a discoloured or misshapen tooth, whilst also preventing the tooth from further damage. A crown will cover an individual tooth. A series of crowns can be linked together to form a bridge which can then replace a missing tooth.
We think that it’s best to use bio-compatible materials for crowns. Modern all-ceramic crowns look really natural, are extremely strong, and last for years. In addition you will avoid having those dark margins at the base of your crowns. Crowns and bridges may be placed either on natural teeth or on implants surgically embedded.
